They are commonly installed near the start of drain runs and at minor junctions within domestic drainage systems.

What Base Configurations Are Available for 280mm Inspection Chambers?

Inspection chamber bases are available with straight-through channels and angled branch inlet options to suit typical 110mm pipework connections. Multiple inlet positions allow flexibility when building junctions into your drainage systems, and any unused openings can be sealed with blanking plugs to maintain system integrity and watertightness. What Is the Maximum Installation Depth for a 280mm Inspection Chamber?

Inspection chambers with an internal diameter of 300mm or less are generally limited to a maximum installation depth of 600mm. They are intended for shallow drainage systems buried close to the surface. For deeper drainage systems, larger diameter chambers (such as 315mm or 450mm units) should be used to ensure compliance, accessibility and long-term performance.
