Floor Drainage

Frost floor drainage is designed primarily for commercial and public buildings. Depending on the product specified, it can be used in locations such as offices, warehouses, plant rooms, car parks, washrooms and other areas where water needs to be collected safely from the floor. Frost also manufactures dedicated shower drains for wet room applications. 

The main difference is the material and finished appearance of the grating. Frost offers both stainless steel and nickel bronze options, allowing the drain to be matched to the surrounding floor and project specification. Nickel bronze is often chosen where the appearance of the exposed grating is particularly important, while stainless steel provides a clean, contemporary finish.

You’ll also need to consider the required outlet connection, whether the drain needs to be trapped, the expected loading and whether accessories such as a membrane clamp, filter basket or backwater valve are required. Frost products are available in a wide range of configurations, making it easier to specify the right drain for the job. Outlet size varies across the Frost range. Many common floor drain assemblies use a 100mm spigot outlet or a 4-inch BSP threaded connection, while selected shower drains are available with 50mm or 100mm outlets. Always check the individual product specification before ordering.
