What is twinwall drainage pipe?
As the name suggests, twinwall pipe has two layers to the pipe wall. The outer layer is corrugated to give extra strength and the inner layer has a smooth bore that helps improve water flow. Twinwall pipe is rigid and supplied in shorter lengths than single-wall pipe, which is flexible and supplied on a coil. It is used where additional strength and crush resistance is needed – for example, when a land drain runs through a culvert under a road.
